The Winnipeg Zoo

On one of the last days in Winnipeg my mom and I took Keegan and Jade to the Winnipeg Zoo. We were headed there to see it last year, but that's when Doug's pick up was broken into at the hotel. Glad we got it in this visit.
Unfortunately, the bear exhibit wasn't open cause they just had a bear that died and the remainder of the area was under renovation. However, there were still many great attractions to see.

One of my favorites was watching this monkey play with these baby toys and go in and out of this tent. The monkey's have ALWAYS been my favorite!!

Strolling along to check out what the zoo has to offer.

Zebras

The Camel Slide. Wahoo!!

Alice the camel has TWO humps.

I stood here for about 10 minutes waiting for this peacock to turn around with it's feathers fanned. It didn't want to cooperate!!

How sweet!!!!

Ah, their alive!!!

We ended the day with a train ride. Once we FINALLY figured out where we were supposed to park to get there.

Keegan had a great time since he loves Choo, Choo's. We even saw a deer on the quick trip.
It was fun to be back at the zoo and to see how it has changed over the years. It will be interesting to see how it changes over the next several years.

Winnipeg Beach

My mom and I took Keegan back to Winnipeg Beach again this year to visit Flo and Del at the cabin. It was a busy fun filled day with all of the kids and their kids and grand kids.
Keegan and Joshua because close buddies from the beginning. Joshua had a follower for the rest of the day.

Loading up on chocolate already!!!

Flo keeping us company recalling my many trips I have made there over the years. Plus she couldn't get over how big and busy Keegan is.

Keegan had a ton of fun and kids to play with. He also because good buds with Kayden.

It started to rain on his head while he was mowing the lawn but he didn't care.

He kept on.

Looks like Keegan and Kayden were plotting their next steps.

My mom and Flo

Keegan and Auntie Donna enjoying Jeanne's Cake. I can't visit Winnipeg without eating several slices of one. Of course, I got the biggest and best slice!!! All of us kids were fighting for it.
Took all of the kids down to the water on such a gloomy cool day. It was only like 63 degrees out, but they insisted. Keegan loved every minute of it.

Inching their way into the water. The water was super high this year compared to the previous year. There was barely a beached area to sit on.

Marty pulling the boys around in the raft.

The darkness across the beach

Keegan and grandma on a stroll.

Playing in the sand. What to build?

Keegan and pappos getting ready to work on the lawn mower.

Leave it to them to figure it out!!

Thank you all for such a great BBQ and wonderful visit!! We miss you all daily!!!

2nd Cousins

Arrived in Winnipeg to stay with my Auntie Leslie and Uncle Bill. While we were there my cousin Jill's daughter Jade got to spend the weekend with her grandma and grandpa. Keegan and Jade became inseparable during our time there.
Waiting patiently for someone to take him for a ride.

Jade and Keegan washing out the wagon for a trip to the park.

All loaded up and raring to go. Funny to note that Keegan had pocketed his dinner and was still chewing on it when we were ready to leave.

This park has some crazy, wacky slides to go down. Jill and the kids had to test them all out.

Keegan and Jade trying to stay stable on the tire swing.

Jade bailed, so Jill went on with Keegan to help balance things out.

Swing time. Give me a push...

Higher, Higher!!

The Cousins with 2nd cousins!!

Went to the Transcona Golf Course for breakfast one morning before Uncle Bill's tee off. The kids had fun playing on the practice putting range.
Getting the balls out.

Taking turns. More to funtimes to come...

The Girls

Picked Brianna and Brittany up from school, so we could hangout at the hotel and swim in the pool while we were still in Grand Forks. It had been over a year since the girls have seen Keegan last. Did they ever have fun with him.Keegan drawing pictures and telling Brianna what they were. Only problem was she couldn't understand what he was saying. Sometimes you need to speak Keegan to know.

Brittany trying to stay ahead of the game and working on math homework before we went down to swim. Good thing I'm no longer in school cause I couldn't even figure out the answers to the questions on her worksheet.

Keegan had fun getting the water ball's full of water and squishing the water on the girls

or in their hair.

Keegan and grandma swimming in the pool. He LOVES the water!!

Swim, Swim, Swim.

Having a BLAST!!!

Kaelyn came to join in on the swim time. Slowly testing out the water.

The hotel has a koi pond. Keegan loves watching the fish.

Some of them were HUGE

The kids watching the fish.

The last morning at the hotel the manager asked Keegan to feed the fish. He was excited, so grandma helped.

The fish acted as if they never got fed. Keegan had a great time feeding the fish. It was hard getting him to leave so we could go get ready to drive to Canada.
