The BIG One

Where has the time gone. It's still hard to believe that Keegan is already turning one. What ever happened to my little baby. He is quickly turning out to be my little, well BIG monster.

Kayla loves when grandma is here. They always play game and do little projects. This time Kayla learnt how to make Perogies and just how to eat them too. What a Canadian delicacy.

He doesn't go to far without those pink drumsticks. Maybe he will have his own band some day...

Grace stylin in her post pigtail do.

Open, Close, Open, Close. Where did all of the fish go??

Since Keegan was born on Valentines Day we did a valentines/monkey theme party.

Enjoying some snacks prior to opening up presents.

Keegan doesn't have much interest in the baby food these days. He's more interested in what he can mooch off of everyone elses plate.

Keegan showing some interest in opening up his presents. Owen was his big helper. He knows what to do.

Keegan got a ton of fabulous toys. Now where to put them all...

Thanks everyone for such wonderful gifts and sharing his special day with us!!!

Keegan quickly figured out the red go button. I have had many laughs since then watching him drive his 4 wheeler. Supervised of course!!
Soon enough it's going to be... Mom and Dad can I have a real one???
Keegan wasn't really sure what to think about his own monkey cake to eat. He just smeared his finger around in the icing. Took a few licks and way like, Okay I'm done.

I thought he would have dove right in. Get me outta here!!

Here is the official monkey cake. It's a red velvet cake in the inside. My grandma used to make my grandpa red velvet cakes on his birthday, which was also on Valentines Day. Thought I would keep the tradition going.

Pre Birthday with Grandma

My mom came to visit from North Dakota for 10 days over Keegan's first birthday. She sacrificed her 5th Anniversary to be here. Thanks mom!! We had a fabulous visit, but just wish she could be here ALWAYS...

My trouble maker playing with the VHS tapes. Who's going to pick all of those up? I'll tell you what. He is going to learn how to clean up after himself quickly!!!
Busted in the act!!
This is what Keegan was busy doing while mom was decorating his cake, grandma was cleaning and Nicole was making us all dinner.

Decorating the monkey cake. It's my first time decorating one of these style cakes. I probably should have started off simple with the number 1 pan instead. Oh well, learning experience. I hope it turns out okay.

We finally put Keegan in his walker to keep him out of trouble. We don't have stairs in our house :)

Grandma and Keegan reading books. He LOVES to read and point out the different pictures. His favorite are the touch and feel books. He is so cute saying the work book. He says booooook, rolling his tongue and lips.

Swimming Lessons

Beth and I enrolled Grace and Keegan into swimming lessons. It has been quite fun for us all.

Keegan playing with his swimmer diapers. It doesn't belong there.

My party hat!!!

How you doing...

Hanging out in the warm baby pool before the lesson starts. The pools are usually kept around 80 plus degrees. Perfect!!

Keegan LOVES the water!! Splish, splash

Swim, swim, swim.

It looks like Beth is an angel in this shot with her radiating glow. Girl Power!!!

Must be something funky with the lighting...

Keegan enjoying himself in the water. He loves splashing and paddling his little arms to go catch the floating fishes. He also loves when we sing the hokey pokey, but definitely doesn't care for swimming on his back. He always tries to flip back over.

My Little Fish!!

Diaper Box

Who needs toys when you have a diaper box. There are a 101 things you can do with a diaper box. Keegan had a blast being pulled around the house. He even sat in there long enough for me to snap a photo. Usually he is just to busy on the go these days.
