Walter's Ferry Fishing Adventure

The weekend was spent on daily fishing trips up to Walter's Ferry for fishing on the Snake River. It was absolutely beautiful on Saturday. Kayla's first cast landed her a a nice sized catfish. Brad caught a catfish also. I caught a few chairs and lost a few lures. Keegan had fun playing in the dirt and trying to get into the water. He was one muddy little boy when we got done each day. Overall, it was a great family filled weekend.

Brad getting our fishing rods all setup and prepped.
Our little set up. It was a perfect area!!
Look what the cat brought in!
Great job Kayla!!
Keegan checking things out by the water.

The snake was first spotted swimming through the water towards Kayla's chair that was setup in the water. When I called out to Kayla to look at the snake, she FREAKED and jumped on her chair. Almost landing in the water.
The loon also kept popping it's head out of the water in our fishing hole.

Keegan keeping himself entertained playing in the dirt, then taking a break for a drink.

Brad's catfish for the day.
We went back fishing in the same spot on Sunday. Kayla was the only one to catch a fish that day. A trout, she has become quite the fisherlady!!

Thunder Mountain Line

Sunday, June 14th was spent on the scenic Thunder Mountain train ride from Horseshoe Bend to Banks. The train took us along the beautiful Payette river. During our trip we saw 4 deer and a few people rafting on the river below.

Quick family pose before we headed out.
When is it going to leave?
To celebrate Flag Day, they were handing out flags and stickers.
Checking things out before we left.
Some of the beautiful scenery!!
The stop in Banks allowed us to move about and stretch our legs. They had ice cream available for purchase. During this time we walked to the front of the engine. I wanted to check out the beautiful vibrant wild flowers. Too bad I didn't have a bag to bring some of these home with me.
Amazing beauty!!

Tonka

We recently have been on the look out for used Tonka trucks. Brad was wanting Keegan to have ones just like the set he had growing up. The big, heavy duty metal ones. I found some on ebay that were selling for $100.00 per set. We figured we would keep our eyes out and find them while garage sailing this summer. Today, we lucked out. Found some on craigslist. Yippee!!!!

Brad teaching Keegan just how each and everyone of them works.

Keegan busy filling the dump truck full of rocks using his shovel.

Oooohh, dad...

What a cool BIG truck!!!

Just though he would hop in and go for a drive. Brad's poor back!!
