Easter 2011

The kids and I attended an Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by Sheppard of the Valley at Bear Creek Park. It was a beautiful, sunny day for this outdoor event. They had several blowup activity gyms, face painting and tattooing for the kids. an art station and of course the Easter egg hunt.

There were a ton of eggs to find. It helped that it was all broken down into different age groups. Each child was to collect 10 eggs and then it because a free for all. Keegan just kept going and going until I stopped him. By that time all of the eggs were just falling out of his basket since it was so full.

Mass quantity of eggs = mass quantities of CANDY!!!

Sat nice and still for his face painting.

Keegan's blue dragonfly.

Kendal and I just took in the sun and the beauty of the day and activities.

Look what the Easter bunny brought. Plus left several Easter eggs behind...

He found all of the goods!!

Playing with her new giraffe.

My beautiful baby doll in her Easter dress. Look at those eyes!!!

All ready for Sunday's Easter Service

My handsome boy!!

Looks like that was a great piece of chocolate.

Happy Easter to ALL!!

Got Chickens?

What came first the chicken or the egg? Well I am certainly going to find out on my new adventure on raising chickens. This truly is a first for me. Here is the great coup my husband built.

We made a trip to D & B to get our new chicks and make them their temporary home. Keegan was so excited.

Being careful helping the chicks into their home. We had to be careful making sure Keegan didn't hold them to tight or drop them in.

How cute!!

We got 5 baby chicks to start out with. They are straightruns, which basically means they aren't sexed. We plan on only keeping one rooster, so if it turns out to be more guess we will have a few good meals in out future. When I asked Keegan what their names where he replies, "one, two, three, four and five." Perfect, obviously not in any particular order either!!!!

Grandma was here for it all.

After close to 3 weeks it was time to move them outside. Here is the inside of their coup and fenced in quarters.

Getting them ready for the big move.

Keegan loves it!! He couldn't be more involved in helping me clean up after them and make sure they have the food and water they need.

The chickens checking out their new surrounding. I can't believe how they change so quickly.

No fatalities as of yet. I must be doing something right!!! I see eggs in our future!! Well and of course some chicken...

Kendal 4+ Months

Kendal's 4 months old already. At her 4 month check up she weighed 15lbs (70th percentile) and was 24.5 inches long (40th percentile) We introduced rice cereal to her right at 4 months. As you can see she wasn't a fan. Back arching and all.

Ready to go out with mom and brother

She rolled over from her back to stomach for the first time on her brother's birthday.

After several days of trying the cereal, she finally got used to it and actually enjoys it now.

Her hair has started to grow back in enough to get a little clip in it. She could spend hours in her exersaucer.

She loves it even more when Keegan comes to play along the side of it with her.

Keegan LOVES his sister. He always wants to hold her and love on her. Guess we will see how things are in a few years from now.

My little cutie!!!

Keegan's 3

Tractor party for Keegan's 3rd Birthday.
All dolled up for brother's party

Look at that smile :)

Pinata time kids!!! Whose gonna smash it up?

Olivia taking a swing at it. Brad has fun teasing the kids by moving the rope just as they were going to hit it. The kids all got goddie bags full of candies. The tractor didn't even end up getting smashed. The top popped of so it's gonna be reusable for anyone else that decides a tractor theme. Money saving technique...

Present time... Let the shredding begin.

The Birthday Boy!!

Nicole, Campbell and Katy.

Beth and David watching on.

Keegan and Grace going for a ride in the new wagon. Thanks Grandma!!!

Happy Birthday to Kee... Keegan sang right with us all to himself.

It's camo time, can you see me?
